General Manager - Oman
As a member of Munich Re Group, MedNet Group is a leading TPA across the Middle East region that caters to healthcare needs. We are seeking to hire a General Manager to plan, organize, direct and control the customization and implementation of MedNet’s overall business and operations strategies, policies and plans in MedNet Oman.
Your Job:
- In conjunction with the Head of MedNet, contribute to the formulation of the strategy and the implementation of the strategy in the assigned country in line with MedNet vision, mission and corporate objectives.
- Manage the effective cascading of the country’s business strategy into business plans and operational strategies to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration across the business unit
- Manage the MedNet staff by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment
- Together with the Head of MedNet, define an optimum organization structure for the assigned country operations so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner
- Oversee the consolidation and recommend the business unit budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/ revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Monitor operational business performance of the MedNet against overall corporate strategic objectives by regular management review to ensure that objectives are fulfilled, and any required corrective action is taken in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensure the effective implementation of organizational change initiatives so that all planned, potential opportunities are capitalized upon and operational efficiency is maintained.
- Lead the development and the implementation of operational policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of MedNet activity in accord with corporate standards and directives so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective product/ service in a consistent manner.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the MedNet to guarantee employee safety, delivery of high quality products/ service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Carry out accurate endorsing/approvals of all relevant documentations such as payment authorizations etc to facilitate timely processing as per defined policies & procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Financial Management or equivalent.
- A globally recognized Insurance qualification
Minimum Experience:
- Overall experience 15 years; with minimum of 8 years’ experience in a TPA or insurance company, of which at least 3 years at a senior managerial level in a similar environment.
