IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist

As part of Munich Re Group MedNet Egypt is one of the leading managed care service organizations that caters to healthcare needs. We are currently seeking to hire an IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist with the following tasks and responsibilities:

Your Job

• Oversee the implementation of an effective and robust back up and security systems to safeguard and protect all IT operations while ensuring optimum mitigations of IT related risks and the reliability / integrity of data.
• Participate in defining, implementation and testing of the efficacy of disaster recovery procedures so that systems can be reinstated in a timely and integral manner in the event of a disaster scenario.
• Participate in the implementation of appropriate security measures for Applications in order to ensure data and asset protection.
• Plan and ensure day to day activities of the IT Infrastructure, Security and user support to facilitate uninterrupted operations of the MedNet, ensuring compliance to the corporate IT strategy.
• Discuss user requirements and understand changing operational needs so feasibility studies can be conducted to review suitability and viability of corporate systems and develop proposals for IT projects in order to ensure that the IT infrastructure continually supports the needs of MedNet operations.
• Handle the planning and design activities of the IT infrastructure, including hardware and networking to meet the needs of users, and ensure all objectives are delivered to time and budget.
• Coordinate the review and development of detailed infrastructure and network requirements specifications based on current and future business needs and provide input to network capital planning and budgeting to the Munich corporate IT.
• Develop and maintain formal procedures for providing support to all IT users in order to ensure timely and efficient resolution of all IT and communication related issues.
• Establish the provision of reporting assistance to external clients (insurance companies) to facilitate IT operations in accord with MedNet standards.
• Ensure that all business applications, networks, access control devices and hardware are operated and maintained cost –effectively and meet agreed level of service standards for user and business needs.
• Support the development of small-scale in-house application development to support the local operations, ensuring compliance with corporate IT standards.
• Liaise with all MedNet group companies in the event of regional projects in order to ensure effective execution of initiatives in accord with quality and corporate guidelines.
• Contribute various IT hardware & Security projects in all project stages in order to ensure project objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Together with MedNet group counterparts, participate in the introduction of best practices in System Implementation initiatives in order to upgrade the functionality and provide improved support for achievement of business objectives.
• Make sure that all MedNet Companies following the same standards and policy in related of Infrastructure, Security, and end user support.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high-quality products/ service and a responsible environmental attitude.
